I'm Jayathu Shehan Dewmina, a Software Engineer with 2+ years of experience delivering production web applications across the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem. I thrive on turning complex problems into elegant, maintainable solutions.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), affiliated with the University of Westminster, UK, with a thesis on AI-powered accessibility technology. I bridge academic knowledge with real-world development experience across the full stack.
I enjoy working with modern technologies, contributing to open-source, and continuously challenging myself to grow as an engineer. When I'm not coding, I explore new frameworks and tools in the ever-evolving software landscape.

- ›Fixed UX and validation issues across employer and admin dashboards, and built reusable components (form reset, scroll-to-top, step trackers).

- ›Worked in a pnpm monorepo with a NestJS API and two Next.js apps, backed by MongoDB.

- ›Fixed critical Azure production issues, including a misconfigured MongoDB Atlas QA connection string, and unified Blob Storage CORS rules under one policy.

Currently building: Fleet & Vehicle Management Platform
Fleet & Vehicle Management Platform
A fleet-management system for vehicle owners covering live GPS tracking, driver and vehicle management, fuel and service records, and role-based access for Super Admin, Admin, and Driver. Real-time location flows over WebSockets from a Flutter driver app to an admin dashboard, with PostGIS powering geofencing and route-deviation detection.
Money Manager
A personal finance web app for tracking incomes, spendings, savings, and loans, with separate Pocket and Bank balances and a weekly spending summary. Loans support installment schedules and payment tracking, and money lent to other users is linked by NIC lookup with borrower approval and in-app notifications.
Job and CV Management System
A full-stack platform for managing job postings and candidate CVs, with three portals for Job Seekers, Employers, and Admins. MongoDB-backed storage is wired through the frontend and backend for dynamic content delivery.
HaptiVision
Final-year research project: a mobile app that uses computer vision to detect surrounding objects and gives real-time audio and haptic feedback, making environmental awareness accessible to blind and deaf users.
TuitionLanka Admin Dashboard
A modern admin panel for managing the TuitionLanka educational platform. Features role-based authentication, analytics with interactive charts, tutor and student account management, and a responsive light/dark theme.

A full-stack platform for managing tuition classes and educational content, with a responsive Next.js frontend and an Express.js REST API backend backed by MongoDB.
